As a retired senior police officer and the project manager for the Knife Angel coming to Derby in Oct 2019, it was important that security and public safety was at the heart of our plans. Our ethos was to use local firms and Repton security was recommended as a reliable provider. Working with Steve at an early stage allowed us to risk assess the site and start planning to reassure the steering group that we could safely display the sculpture for a whole month. The RAMS report that was produced by Repton security was thorough and detailed a number of options that allowed our insurers to be reassured that adequate cover at minimum cost could be provided for such a valuable and iconic art piece. The team who attended the site on a daily basis were professional and polite and a credit to the company. Paddy, Chris and George understood that the public needed to be accommodated as they installed security fencing each evening but they went beyond their role to ensure they assisted the public to fully view and enjoy the sculpture beyond the official closing time.

Organising a combined birthday event for a Sixtieth and 21st is a daunting prospect. With over 100 guests at a private residence with close neighbouring properties we had to get it right. A licence was obtained for a bar and a live four piece band until 2am. The logistics and organising required for the caterers, bar, band ,Marquee, car parking etc etc was well out of our comfort zone. We decided the event needed policing properly and we invited on good recommendation Repton Security to do a risk assessment and help in ensuring a seamless enjoyable and well managed event. The staff at Repton Security, from initial enquiry and booking, to the risk assessment team through to the two professionals on the night, were all totally discreet and effective. The Repton guys looked after the whole event, car park, house, staff on duty, bar, catering plus all our guests were always cheerful, polite and diligent. Security was always there but never there, meaning the team were inconspicuous and discreet. Any minor problems were dealt with assistance and advice given and any potential clash points were diffused with a friendly disposition. We had many young 21 year old alpha males trying to impress their female counterparts with lots of music and excitement. Everyone, and I mean the whole team had a thoroughly enjoyable fabulous and Safe and I mean Safe evening.
